As the CEO of Humane Canada, Barb Cartwright convenes and represents the largest animal welfare community in Canada, working to end animal cruelty, improve animal protection and promote the humane treatment of all animals.

Barb is extremely intelligent and she’s got such an adventurous spirit so for the last few years that I’ve known her, the conversations have always been energizing.

In this episode we talk about:

– working with Jane Goodall

– animal welfare during a pandemic

– the Canadian charitable sector and how right now is the women’s movement in charities

– the link between animal and human violence

Have a listen and don’t forget to connect via social media @natcurio. Enjoy the conversation with Barb and be sure to tune in next week and check out the ANFC Virtual Panel. You’ll hear from the Canadian Museum of Nature, Humane Canada, Nature Canada and Helping Rhinos about why now, more than ever is a time for us all to rally for nature.

Until then, stay curious friends!
